Consumer-friendly financial education reminders for the Hong Kong public to pay attention to money matters

The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) has launched a new theme song featuring The Chin Family characters and a set of WhatsApp stickers to encourage the public to develop interest in day-to-day money matters such as saving, budgeting, investing and retirement planning.
The newly-released promotional items adopt a fun and engaging approach to arouse public interest and encourage people to pay more attention to their finances.
"We want The Chin Family to be the go-to source to help people from all walks of life learn about money matters in order to make well-informed financial decisions," said Mr David Kneebone, General Manager of the IFEC. "What better way to raise awareness of this important topic than through the use of popular digital and social media channels where people would be more inclined to share with their friends and families."
The new theme song comes with a music video featuring members of The Chin Family in a variety of commonly-encountered scenarios in the daily lives of individuals and families. These include typical money concerns such as overspending, providing for one's family, investing wisely and retirement planning, all of which form an integral part of financial planning considerations.
