IFEC unveils energised IFEC Chin Family and
launches Hong Kong Money Month 2026: Invest in Yourself for Greater Rewards

The Investor and Financial Education Council (IFEC) today unveils an energised IFEC Chin Family, introducing a refreshed look to further engage the public in investor and financial education. This new look coincides with the launch of “Hong Kong Money Month (HKMM) 2026”, IFEC’s flagship campaign themed “Invest in Yourself for Greater Rewards”, bringing fresh energy and strengthening connections with the community.
HKMM 2026 underscores that personal financial knowledge is the most valuable investment, encouraging lifelong skills in investing, financial management and financial scam prevention. It also provides an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to offer diverse learning resources and activities for the public to start their financial management journey.
Throughout March, the IFEC is launching a multimedia campaign featuring a new television commercial broadcast across multiple platforms, alongside the IFEC's digital tools and resources on investing, financial management and scam prevention. The refreshed Chin Family will be unveiled in the video, introducing an energised look that deepens its relevance for audiences of all ages.
The key campaign messages include:
- Download the IFEC Money Tracker app to manage your finances wisely.
- Protect your assets and do not trust scammers.
- Be a smart investor by continuing to learn from the IFEC website and digital resources on prudent investing and financial management.
Financial literacy as a lifelong investment
IFEC Chairman Mr Victor Dawes said, “We are delighted to unveil the energised new look of the IFEC Chin Family as part of Hong Kong Money Month 2026. This new look will raise public awareness to take positive action on their financial management journey, motivating individuals to adopt the proper attitude and behaviour towards investing and financial management as a lifelong investment. With rapid advancements in innovation and technology, it is more important than ever for individuals to keep abreast of the latest scam tactics and stay vigilant to protect their wealth. Sincere appreciation goes to all our stakeholders for their support in advancing investor and financial education for the financial well-being of our community.”

Highlights of IFEC’s key initiatives in Hong Kong Money Month 2026:
- A new television commercial promoted across broadcast media, social media, online platforms and outdoor advertisements, alongside the IFEC's digital tools and resources on prudent investing, financial management and scam prevention.
- Thematic online talks and interviews in collaboration with regulators and stakeholders including the Securities and Futures Commission, the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority, the Insurance Authority, and the CFA Society Hong Kong. These sessions cover a range of topics including virtual assets, financial influencers, retirement planning, insurance and wealth management.
- Animated videos and resources on prudent money management habits, cybersecurity and virtual asset basics for students, with toolkits promoted to primary and secondary schools.
- Announcement of the Investor and Financial Education Award 2025 to recognise outstanding contributions made by stakeholders in advancing investor and financial education in Hong Kong.
