Digital Stock Trading Guru Inter-School Competition 2024-2025

Organised by IFEC, and co-organised by the Education Bureau and Hong Kong Association for Business Education, the Digital Stock Trading Guru Inter-School Competition 2024-2025 (Competition) will be held in the first quarter of 2025. 

Digital Stock Trading Guru (DSTG) is a digital learning tool specifically designed for Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 students who are studying the subject “Business, Accounting and Financial Studies” (BAFS). The Competition aims to help secondary school students make informed investment and financial decisions through contest mode, and assist them to develop a correct attitude and habit towards investment and financial management.

Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 BAFS students

• All secondary schools in Hong Kong are eligible to participate in the Competition free of charge.
• Each secondary school shall form a team of four BAFS students to compete.
• Each school is allowed to have only one team to participate in the Competition.

• All eligible schools can participate in the Competition.
• The Competition will be conducted in teams, with four students from each school team required to attend. The individual portfolio values of each participating student will be combined to determine the overall portfolio value for their school and the team ranking. Depending on the number of teams participating in each competition, a total of 40 teams with outstanding results will be selected based on proportion and ranking.

• All participating students are required to bring their own device for the Competition. They can use either the Wi-Fi connection provided by the venue or their own data connection for the Competition.
• No briefing or instructions on the DSTG will be provided during the Competition. It is expected that the participating teams have familiarised themselves with the DSTG before joining the Competition.
• The Competition will be conducted in Cantonese.
• By participating in the Competition, schools and students should agree to be photographed and videotaped at the venue. They should also acknowledge and agree that their photos and videos may be used for future publicity and promotion by the organisers.

All students who participate in the Competition will receive an electronic certificate of appreciation.
