Personal Finance Ambassador Programme 2021/22 - Presentation and Award Ceremony

IFEC understands that personal financial management is an important life skill for young people. Financial education enables them to become more independent in managing their finance and be better prepared for their future needs. In a bid to improve and sustain financial management skills of tertiary students, we launched the Personal Finance Ambassador Programme (“Programme”) since 2019, co-organised together with the HKEX Foundation Limited and St. James' Settlement. This programme has since received broad support and enthusiastic feedbacks.

The theme of this year's programme is "Digital Personal Finance". With the rise of FinTech in recent years, this theme pinpoints the rapidly changing and developing trend that young people face today. We had 14 teams participated, with students coming from 11 tertiary institutions. Participants first went through a series of training and activities including, online day camps, project conferences and workshops to equip themselves with appropriate knowledge to become "personal finance ambassadors". Each team then created their own Financial Education Program and went on to deliver “Digital Personal Finance” information to other students. Overall, the programme reached over 4,400 young people this year.

All ambassadors achieved Ambassador Certificates and 6 teams were selected to compete for awards at the online Presentation and Award Ceremony. After keen competition, the judging panel concluded the final results. Congratulations to the following award recipients:
