Investor and Financial Education Council (“IFEC”) FinEd Hub House Rules

Welcome to the IFEC FinEd Hub (“Hub”). 

By entering the premises or participating in any activity of the Hub, or making an application for the above purposes, all applicants, participants and visitors (“Visitors”, “you” or “your” hereunder) are deemed to have read and agreed to comply with these Rules.   

  1. Members of the public may visit the Hub and participate in the activities of the Hub free-of-charge unless otherwise specified. Persons aged below 18 must obtain consent from their parents or guardians before the visit.  No children aged 13 or below will be admitted to the Hub unless they are accompanied by an adult who shall be 18 years old or over. Such children whilst on site must remain under the control or supervision of an adult at all times.
  2. Interested individuals or organisations may submit an online application via this link or the onsite application system at the Hub at Unit 304, 3rd floor, The Mills, No.45 Pak Tin Par Street, Tsuen Wan, New Territories, Hong Kong.
  3. Successful applicants will receive a confirmation message ("Confirmation”). The Confirmation will contain a QR code.
  4. Visitors must produce the Confirmation or the QR code on the date of visit for (a) admission into the Hub and (b) registration of activity or use of facility.
  5. Entry into the Hub shall be arranged on a first-come, first-served basis. All Visitors are encouraged to register online in advance. If any time slot reaches the capacity limit, walk-in Visitors may not be allowed to enter the Hub.
  6. Please arrive 5 minutes before the scheduled time. Latecomers may not be allowed to enter the Hub.
  7. The facilities in the Hub, including lockers, are provided for Visitors to use and shall be arranged on a first-come, first-served basis.
  8. No Visitor parking is provided.
  9. During the visit and inside the Hub, the Visitors must follow the instructions of the staff members of the Hub ("Hub Staff Members”).
  10. Visitors who feel unwell should seek assistance from the Hub Staff Members immediately.
  11. Commercial activities, including but not limited to publication of commercial advertisements or use of the Hub’s facilities and resources for profit in any forms, are strictly forbidden in the Hub.
  12. No person shall carry out commercial photography or filming within the premises of the Hub without the IFEC’s prior written consent.
  13. Visitors may take photos or videos for non-commercial use. Unless specifically permitted by a Hub Staff Member, flash photography, tripods, and selfie sticks are not allowed. To protect personal privacy, please refrain from taking any unauthorised photography, video and audio recordings of other visitors or the Hub Staff Members.
  14. Smoking, drinking and eating are not allowed in the Hub.
  15. No animals, except guide dogs, are allowed in the Hub.
  16. No person shall deface, damage or destroy in any way any wall, door, furniture, fittings, equipment, exhibit or facility.
  17. Without the Hub Staff Member’s permission, no person shall take any facility or item away from the Hub, use loudspeakers in the Hub, display banners, buntings, flyers or advertisements in any form, or distribute any promotional material, souvenir or give-away item.
  18. The Hub is equipped with CCTV surveillance system.
  19. The IFEC reserves the right to reject any application, refuse entry or immediately terminate a visit or participation of any activity by any individual and/or organisation at its discretion without giving any reason and without prior notice.
  20. Without limiting the effect of Clause 19, no person shall act or behave in a disorderly manner or otherwise cause harm, nuisance or interference to any other person inside the Hub. In such case, any Hub Staff Member may request such person to leave the Hub immediately and take any other action as they consider
  21. The Visitor shall indemnify the IFEC against any such losses or damages, or expenses incurred to the IFEC caused by any breach to these House Rules.
  22. During the visit, Visitors are responsible for their own personal safety as well as the safety of their belongings regardless of whether they are stored in the lockers provided in the Hub. Visitors are reminded not to put any valuables into the lockers. Since there is capacity limit for the lockers, oversized belongings from Visitors may not be stored in the lockers. To the extent permitted by law, the IFEC excludes all liability to any Visitor or third party in respect of any injury, loss or damage to any person or their belongings howsoever caused.
  23. If Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above, the “extreme conditions”*, or the Red or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal (“Warning Signal”) is in force or is expected to be in force at or after 8:00 am on a business day, the Hub will NOT be opened for business in the morning. If the Warning Signal is in force or is expected to be in force at or after 12:00 noon on a business day, the Hub will NOT be opened for business in the afternoon. When the issuance of a Warning Signal is expected to be imminent as announced by the Hong Kong Observatory during the Visit, the Hub will have the discretion to terminate all visits during the day. The applicants may submit a new application for another visit.
  24. All exhibits, display, representation, case studies, games, materials, information or other content provided in the Hub or in relation to any activity of the Hub are collectively referred to as “Exhibit Materials”. 
  25. All Exhibit Materials are for educational purpose only. All Exhibit Materials are provided generally without considering your specific circumstances. They should not be used as a substitute for professional advice. You should seek independent legal or other professional advice before taking action on any matters to which information provided on any Exhibit Material may be relevant, or if you have any doubt about any applicable law. The IFEC does not recommend, advise on, pass on the merit of or endorse any of the products or types of products referred to on or in any Exhibit Material.
  26. The IFEC shall not be responsible for any consequential effect, nor shall it be liable for any loss or damage, howsoever caused, of any kind, arising from the use of, inability to use or reliance upon any Exhibit Material or any part thereof, whether or not such loss or damage is caused by the IFEC's negligence.
  27. The IFEC endeavours to ensure that all Exhibit Materials are accurate as of the date of display, but the information is provided to you on an "as is" basis and the IFEC does not warrant its accuracy, timeliness, completeness, quality or fitness for any particular purpose. In no event shall the IFEC accept or assume any liability (including third party liability) for any loss or damage, whether or not arising from any error or omission in compiling any Exhibit Material.
  28. Games and case studies, and the characters and situations created therein are fictitious.
  29. The Hub reserves the right to amend these Rules without notice. The Hub also reserves the right to decide on the final interpretation of these Rules.
  30. The IFEC welcomes your comments on the Hub’s services, and takes complaints very seriously. *Note: In the case of serious disruption of public transport services, extensive flooding, major landslides or large-scale power outage caused by a super typhoon, the Government will make an announcement of "extreme conditions".
