Hyperlink Policy for The IFEC website

The Investor and Financial Education Council ("IFEC") owns and manages the IFEC website (www.ifec.org.hk). The IFEC also maintains its presence on various social media platforms, including the Facebook page (投委會錢家 IFEC Chin Family), Instagram account (ifec.chinfamily), and YouTube channel (投委會錢家 IFEC Chin Family). The aforementioned IFEC website and social media pages are collectively referred to as "IFEC Online Sites” hereunder.

The IFEC allows a third party to create a hyperlink to an IFEC Online Site provided the IFEC's policies with regard to the hyperlink set up between the third party website and such IFEC Online Site set out below are complied with:

Unless otherwise stated, all copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the materials on the IFEC Online Sites belong to the IFEC.

Materials on the IFEC Online Sites may be downloaded or printed for personal use or for use within an individual firm or organisation but may only be used for personal viewing purposes or for viewing within that firm or organisation. Such materials may not be reproduced for or distributed to third parties, or used for commercial purposes, without the IFEC's prior written consent. The IFEC's copyright notice (ie Copyright © Investor and Financial Education Council) must appear on all copies.

The IFEC shall not be responsible for any loss or damage, howsoever caused, arising from the use of or inability to use the IFEC Online Sites or use of or reliance upon any content provided on the IFEC Online Sites. The IFEC endeavours to ensure that the contents contained on the IFEC Online Sites are accurate as at the date of publication, but does not warrant their accuracy or accept any liability (including third party liability) for any loss or damage, whether or not arising from any error or omission in compiling such contents.

Any hyperlink created should be set to point to the relevant webpage of the IFEC Online Sites rather than featuring the content itself, so as to ensure that the updated version is accessed.

To the extent that any linkages to the IFEC Online Sites are created, the IFEC Online Sites must be presented in a way that fairly represents the role of the IFEC.

There must be no reproduction of any of the IFEC logo, the logos of IFEC Chin Family or the logos of any individual character of IFEC Chin Family without prior written permission of the IFEC.

The hyperlinks are created for convenience. The IFEC does not sponsor or endorse these third parties and the IFEC Online Sites shall not be deemed to be part of any sites or pages maintained by such third parties.

The context of the text must not give users of your website an impression that your website is sponsored or endorsed by the IFEC. The context of the link must not suggest that the IFEC has created any of your contents, that is, the source of your materials must be clear.

In creating hyperlinks on your website to the IFEC Online Sites, at no time should the IFEC Online Sites appear to be part of your website (ie no framing of any IFEC Online Site). The IFEC reserves the right at any time to determine the way in which the hyperlink is to be structured or require removal of any link to the IFEC Online Sites.

The IFEC is not obliged to establish a reciprocal link to your website following the establishment of a hyperlink from your website to an IFEC Online Site unless IFEC gives its prior written consent to do so.

The IFEC does not allow a link to an IFEC Online Site if the website contains any material which is libellous, defamatory, pornographic, obscene, or is in any way in breach of the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or infringes any intellectual property rights or other rights.
