Programme details
To cater for the learning needs of kindergarten students, The Chin Family Money and Virtues Story Books and Activities Programme is designed to educate children on three basic money management knowledge and concepts through interactive story-telling approach:
Module 1: Learn about money
Module 2: Distinguish between needs and wants
Module 3: The benefits of saving
The programme website offers a range of online learning resources (available in Chinese only) for each module. These resources include audio books, worksheets, online games, teaching tools, etc. Teachers are welcome to use these resources for teaching financial education to their students. They also have the flexibility to select specific resources and integrate them into other subjects or activities as needed.
Parents are encouraged to use the online learning resources to assist their children, aged 3 to 5 years old, in developing healthy money management habits and positive attitudes toward money.
IFEC organised the first "The Chin Family Money and Virtues Story Books and Activities - Parent-Child Piggy Bank DIY Competition" in the 2024/25 school year. The competition aims to integrate financial education into daily life, and allow children to optimise their creativity in their first lesson of financial management under the lead of teachers and parents. All K1 to K3 kindergarten students are welcome to participate!
