Programme details

The revolution in fintech has ushered in transformative changes in financial services, introducing innovative products for deposit, loan, insurance, investment and payment. In this rapidly evolving landscape, digital financial literacy has becoming increasingly essential.

The Digital Financial Literacy Programme for Youth is specifically designed for secondary school students, aiming to equip the next generation with digital financial literacy and to foster proper attitudes and behaviours towards financial management in the digital era.

IFEC and Education Bureau co-organise "Digital Financial Literacy Programme for Youth 2024/25 - Instagram Content Creation Competition" for secondary school students in the 2024/25 school year. The competition aims to raise awareness among secondary school students about the importance of digital financial management tools and services and their applications. It helps students understand how these digital tools can facilitate effective personal finance management and assist in achieving financial goals. Moreover, it educates students on the characteristics and potential risks associated with digital investment products and transactions, enabling them to make informed investing decisions.

The competition also allows secondary school students to showcase their creativity by creating impactful financial education content, collectively building a digital financial education resource library to promote the importance of digital financial literacy to youth and the public.
